Inspired by nature, this is an example of witnessing an unexpected gift when two swallowtails landed next to each other in opposite directions in a puddle to take a drink. I enjoyed their reflection and how their proboscis rippled the water when they drank. Watercolor and Watercolor pencil on Aqua board bring a unique texture and vibrancy to the piece. It is sprayed with archival fixative and framed in a black float frame.
