Bristlecone Bees
The painting portrays the larger bee as it lands on the bristlecone with such force and impact. There is a tiny timid bee waiting. The comparison of size does not diminish what each insect was created to do. Perhaps the smaller bee was knocked off the bristlecone, now regaining its dignity, as it climbs back up. Watercolor and Aquarelle pencil on Ambersand aqua board, in a 6 x 6 float frame, sprayed with archival fixative. To care for this painting, wipe gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.
